What type of breast implant is available to me?
Dr. McMillan uses Mentor MemoryGel and Saline breast implants.
Saline implants are FDA approved filled with a saltwater solution similar to the fluid that makes up most of the human body. They have a somewhat flexible fill volume that can be adjusted during surgery. They are available in a wide variety of sizes and three projection options: moderate, moderate plus and high profile. Mentor saline implants are covered by Mentor’s standard or enhanced limited warranty and lifetime replacement policy. Choosing a saline implant will give you a slightly firmer feeling breast than a MemoryGel implant.
Mentor’s MemoryGel implants are also FDA approved. Each implant is pre-filled with cohesive gel that holds together uniformly, which looks and feels like natural breast tissue. Like the saline implants, silicone implants are available in a wide variety of sizes and the three projections; moderate, moderate plus and high profile. The MemoryGel implant comes with a premier advantage limited warranty and lifetime replacement policy. Choosing a MemoryGel breast implant will give you a natural, soft appearing breast.
