BOTOX® COSMETIC in Bellevue, Kirkland and Issaquah
When you smile, laugh, frown, or look puzzled, you contract the muscles of your face. Over time, these contractions produce permanent furrows and deep wrinkles in the skin, especially around the eyes and mouth, between the eyebrows, and on the forehead. These lines can make you look older, sad, angry or tired. BOTOX® Cosmetic treatments can not only prevent you from deepening these lines during natural facial movements, they can also erase these marks of aging, leaving you looking younger and refreshed.
BOTOX® is made from a highly purified protein that is very safe when administered by a trained physician. The medication relaxes the muscles in the face that cause wrinkles. In this way, BOTOX® smoothes the lines in the skin that make you look tired or angry. BOTOX® may also be useful for migraine headaches, excessive sweating, and eye and neck muscle spasms. Talk to us about whether BOTOX® can help you.

FILLERS
Soft tissue fillers are injected under the skin to "plump up," contour and smooth wrinkles, lines and hollow areas in the face and to augment the lips or cheeks for a younger, fuller appearance.
JUVEDERM® Injectable Gel
Touted as the "next generation" of facial fillers, JUVEDERM® injectable gels gently smooth wrinkles and folds around the mouth and nose and restore a youthful volume to the face. Made with hyaluronic acid, a natural substance found in the body that works with collagen and elastin to provide volume and support to the skin, JUVEDERM® is especially effective on smile lines and "parentheses" (nasolabial folds) that run from the bottom of the nose to the sides of the mouth. Treatment takes only 15 minutes with immediate results and no downtime. Results typically last about 6-9 months.
RESTYLANE®
Restylane® is designed to smooth wrinkles, sculpt lips and shape facial contours. It is a clear, synthetic gel made with hyaluronic acid, a natural substance that is found throughout your body. It carries little risk of allergic reaction. The most common areas for treatment are the glabellar lines (between the eyebrows) and the nasolabial folds (from the root of the nose to the angle of your mouth). With its unique ability to bind with water, Restylane remains in your skin for many months.
Radiesse™
Radiesse™ is a synthetic injectable filler that reduces wrinkles, creases and scars by augmenting the body's natural collagen supply. It can be used on many areas of the body, including the lips, nasolabial folds, peri-oral lines, depressed scars and oral commissures. Treatments typically take 15 minutes and require only local anesthetic. Results are visible immediately after the injection and can last for months or years.
PREVELLE™
PREVELLE™ is an advanced hyaluronic acid (HA) gel dermal filler that is injected just under the skin's surface with minimal irritation. The gel adds volume and smoothes out facial wrinkles and folds for a more youthful appearance. PREVELLE consists if purified hyaluronic acid, which is a natural complex sugar already found in your skin, and lidocaine. Lidocaine is a local anesthetic added to provide pain relief at the site of the injection. The result is a safe painless procedure that generates smooth skin with little to no downtime.

DERMABRASION
Dermabrasion removes a layer of surface skin to improve the appearance of facial scarring due to acne, chicken pox, injury or other causes, as well as uneven pigmentation, wrinkles, sun damage, tattoos, age spots and certain kinds of skin lesions. The skin is frozen, typically with a spray, and then abraded with a high-speed rotary instrument for a dramatically smoother, fresher look. After the procedure it is normal to feel a sensation similar to sunburn for a week or so, at which time most patients are able to return to work. The newly revealed skin will likely appear pinker than usual for two to three months. Patients should be sure to adequately protect skin from sunlight.

CHEMICAL PEEL
Chemical peels remove damaged outer layers of skin on the face to smooth texture, reduce scarring, and remove blemishes to produce healthy, glowing skin. There are three types of chemical peels, ranging from mild to strong - alphahydroxy acids (AHAs), trichloroacetic acid (TCA) and phenol - and formula strengths are tailored to each patient. Peels can be combined with other procedures such as facelifts for a younger look.
Chemical peels may be performed in a plastic surgeon's office, office-based facility or outpatient surgical center. Anesthesia is not required because phenol and TCAs act as an anesthetic while AHAs produces only a slight stinging, though you may be given a sedative.

SCAR REVISIONS
Scar revision is performed to reduce the appearance of scars caused by injury or previous surgery. Scars are by definition permanent, but surgery can narrow, fade and otherwise reduce the appearance of severe or unattractive scarring, which is especially helpful in areas of cosmetic importance such as the face and hands.
There are many surgical methods of scar revision, only some of which may be appropriate for a particular type of scar or its location. These include surgical excision, skin grafts, flap surgery and Z-plasty (repositioning a scar so that it aligns with the face and is less noticeable). The effectiveness of scar reduction depends on a number of factors, including the nature of the injury, your body's healing mechanism, the size and depth of the wound, how much blood supplies the area and the thickness and color of your skin.
